I worked on a thesis for my MS Orthopaedic Degree between July 1986 and June 1989. The study was to evaluate the role of CT scanning as a diagnostic tool in Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Prolapse.
While studying for the MCh in Orthopaedics as an external candidate, I completed a thesis on Haemophilic Arthropathy of the Elbow. This work was done during my Registrar rotation at the Royal Free Hospital, which has a large Haemotology Department. The thesis was part of a BOA podium presentation and the work is being carried on with a view to publication.
I regularly use the Internet and can handle several computer software packages. I use Medline, EMBASE and the Cochrane Library for literature searches.
